Helping to bring HOPE to Young Single Mothers

Meet Hope

Hope works hard and earns just above the level of poverty but not enough to pay for all she needs.

She has limited resources and hard decisions to make on a daily basis - Hope is a Young Single Mother.

Basic family needs exceed her income! Every month, Hope chooses between Food/Rent, or Food/Electricity, or Childcare/Medical Necessities. She cannot afford it all on her limited income and receives little to no government assistance.

An unexpected medical issue or untimely car repair can cause her to miss work and in turn she will bring home even less income…producing more hardship.

Securing safe and affordable childcare is a challenge, and it creates a financial obstacle for moms wanting to pursue education or training that can increase earning potential.

Hope is not Unique. In St. Johns County, Florida, 3 out of 7 young single mothers live just above the poverty line - that is 42%!

Hope and many young single working mothers need career certification opportunities, counseling, financial literacy guidance, parenting classes, mentoring, childcare support, and, guidance from the Sisters of St. Joseph. With your help, we can provide these programs.

Invest in a life today!

Your investment will us to create educational opportunities, and a supportive community that will elevate the lives of young single mothers and their children.
